The Royal Society
During a UKRI placement, I worked within the educational policy team of the UK and Commonwealth’s national academy of science. My role focused on advancing efforts to develop a broad, balanced, and connected curriculum in UK schools, aimed at equipping young people with the skills necessary for future careers.
I collaborated regularly with the Education Policy team, the Science Policy section, and external stakeholders, including Senior Fellows and mathematics education experts. Key responsibilities included supporting the launch and dissemination of the Mathematical Futures Report, contributing to communications strategies, representing the Society at working groups and the Joint Mathematical Council and providing broader assistance to the academy's mathematics education programme.
The Ditchley Foundation
During an archive internship at Ditchley, I explored its archival materials, including conference notes and annual lectures, to author two policy papers on the history of the Cold War and Anglo-American relations, both of which were published online.
One of the papers was selected as recommended reading for Ditchley’s September 2021 conference, The United States: Headed for Renewal or Bound for Division, where I attended and actively participated in roundtable discussions.
